Vaca Negra
The aim is to compete
Vaca Negra is a local product aimed at a specific niche inside the Puerto rican consumer. The challenge was to help this product compete on the shelf with international giants from the cheese and yogurt industries. In other words, how can we make a product compete globally, while being local? We wanted the final result to be visually stunning, not only for the client, but so locals could feel proud and realize that something from here can also be outstanding.
For this project, we wanted to see from up close Vaca Negra´s process, so we went to their farm to get a feel of what the brand represents and stands for. We used the name of the brand and source of the product as inspiration, so our team photographed their cows, to make it the icon for the brand. The illustration was rich in detail, and clean at the same time. Always maintaining a creole, Puerto rican style.
